In North Rhine-Westphalia there are numerous (community/LGBTIAQ*) counseling centers that can help you in difficult situations or with your questions and topics. At these centers you can find people who will listen to you.
The conversations are always confidential and the employees also have made experiences as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, asexual and queer people.
Topics of these consultations can be:
- Questions about one’s own sexuality or sex
- Information and questions about the LGBTIQ community in Germany
- Conflicts with your environment, in your relationship or your family
- Experiences of discrimination or violence
Information on legal advice for your asylum procedure and your residency in Germany can be found on the Legal Assistance page.
If you can not find a suitable center to give you legal advice or are unsure about it, do not hesitate to contact us at the specialized department “#MehrAlsQueer” (#MAQ: More than queer) and we will help you to arrange the contact.
