The Landeskoordination Anti-Gewalt-Arbeit provides counseling for individuals with or without refugee experience as well as advice for institutions on the topics of discrimination, violence and domestic violence with regard to lesbians, gays, bisexuals and trans people. Another important function is the documentation of assaults and violence against lgbtiq people (with refugee background).

The Antidiskriminierungsstelle des Bundes provides information on the (legal) situation of persons and groups who experience discrimination, including migration, flight/refugee status and asylum.

Antidiskriminierungsbüros in Nordrhein-Westfalen
(Anti-Discrimination Offices in North Rhine-Westphalia)
There are several Anti-Discrimination Offices (Antidiskriminierungsbüros, “ADBs”) in NRW providing advice and support in case you have been or are being discriminated against . The ADBs offer counseling, support and (if necessary) referral of attorneys and other specialized services.
Concept for the protection against violence in refugee accomodations in North Rhine-Westphalia
(Landesgewaltschutzkonzept für Flüchtlingseinrichtungen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen)
The federal state North Rhine-Westphalia developed a concept to prevent violence in refugee accomodations: „Landesgewaltschutzkonzept für Flüchtlingseinrichtungen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen“ (LGSK NRW). The concept aims at making refugee accomodations a more secure space for lgbtiq* refugees and a space where all people live peacefully and respectfully together. The concepts includes preventive and interventive actions to protect refugees from physical, psychic and sexual violence and discrimination.
